Group Size

Paper of various colors, scissors, writing tools, tape, a place for display.

Set Up

Tape paper on a window, wall, door or board to represent a tree trunk and branches.

Each person traces one of their hands and cuts out the shape. On it they write things they are grateful for. They tape the hands to the tree.

At a gathering, each person reads what they have written and talks about it.

Instead of a tree, the central image can be a circle, a sun, or any symbol appropriate to the team. Instead of hands, the shapes can be leaves, stars, people figures, or any symbol appropriate to the team.
